IFF’s  Board of Trustees is delighted to welcome Ms. Vandita Morarka (Founder and CEO of One Future Collective) and Mr. Anshul Tewari (Founder of Youth Ki Awaaz) as the new Board Trustees at IFF. The new Trustees were inducted as per the Board Resolution 2023/04 dated June 9, 2023.

To enhance the expertise, diversity and overall effectiveness of the Board, a call for new trustees was published on January 25, 2023, from which a total of twelve applications were received. The Board shortlisted 6 applications over a total of five sittings. It then carefully reviewed qualifications, backgrounds and commitments to identify the suitable candidates for the position of new Trustees. This included rounds of personal interviews. After careful consideration, the Board is thrilled to have Ms. Vandita Morarka and Mr. Anshul Tewari as trustees, who will be serving a term of three years from the date of induction with a further term for a three renewal.

The IFF board shares their excitement for the future!

With deep gratitude and respect for all the efforts and support provided to IFF, the Board announces that Ms. Rachita Taneja and Mr. Aravind Ravi-Sulekha will be stepping down as Trustees of the Board after serving a term of seven years. IFF acknowledges their invaluable contribution from day zero. They have served the cause of digital rights with courage and diligence. We thank them for their continued dedication and shared passion for digital and privacy rights and will continue working with them in a voluntary capacity.

IFF has had a 6-7 member board and this would be a great number for improving a diversity of skills and backgrounds. Based on these needs we are also intending to induct two further trustees over the next four to six months. Sounds interesting? You can apply on an online form or share it with a friend. We encourage Indians who have expertise in human rights, regulatory and accounts compliances, and fundraising. Persons from minority communities and marginalized caste groups, and non-male applicants are strongly encouraged to apply!

Thank you,

Karthik Balakrishnan, Vandita Moraka, Anshul Tewari, Apar Gupta
